We are currently seeking an additional experienced Veterinary Technician. Previous veterinary experience with both small and large animals is preferred. A full day observational interview is required.
Applicants must possess strong customer service skills; ability to multi-task; ability to communicate effectively face-to-face with clients, doctors, and staff; ability to keep a level head in a fast paced and hectic environment; must be detail oriented and organized; and a positive, team player attitude is a must!
Applicants must be able to work a set schedule 4 days per week with the availability between 7:30am-6:30pm and rotating Saturdays 7:30am-12:00pm and occasional kennel shifts. Due to the nature of the Veterinary field some over-time may be needed.
General duties include(but are not limited to):
-Pharmacy duties including filling prescriptions
-Drawing blood and running laboratory tests
-IV catheter placement
-Monitoring patients and administering daily medications for hospitalized patients
-Maintaining anesthetized patients
-Handling and maintaining accurate medical records
-Cleaning and sterilizing/sanitizing all equipment
-Maintaining clean and well stocked ambulatory vehicles
-Assisting with large and small animal procedures, in clinic and out in the field
-Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, etc. for extended periods of time
-Must be able to lift approximately 50+ pounds with assistance
